Event Description: The water color was primarily clear this week.

1. Trip #1 – Guide Pre Fish Trip out of Ft. Hunter. This was on Monday and we fished from 6:00 to 7:30. We boated 9 Bass and the largest was 16.5”. All the fish came on Salty Spider Grubs in Green Pumpkin. We had 78 degree water at 3.2 – 5,000CF – Clear and rising.

2. Trip #2 – Guide Trip out of Ft. Hunter. This was a Wednesday Full Day Trip and they boated 41 Bass with the largest being 18.25”. They also boated a Sunfish and an 18” Walleye which we will eat at the Annual Fish Fry. The river was at 3.3 with 6,000 CF and 73 degrees. They were all caught on soft plastics in Greens and Browns.

3. Trip #3 – Guide Fun Trip out of Ft. Hunter. This was on Saturday and we fished
From 12:45 to 3:30 and we caught 16 Bass and 4 Walleye. The largest bass was 17.5” and the largest Walleye was 15”. We caught fish on Top Water, Hard Jerkbaits and Craw Pappi’s. The river was 3.4 with 7,000 CF – Steady – Clear and 73 degrees.

4. The Smallmouth fishing continues to improve and should stay good as long as the water stays at the current level. Some of the fish are close to their wintering holes and if the water stays low they may be here all the way thru winter.
5. We are starting to catch Walleye more consistently and this fishing should continue to improve each month. I checked one of our Walleye spots on Saturday and the Walleye are in there. They normally stay in this location until October unless the river rises.
6. Our big Smallmouth of the week was 18.25” and our largest Walleye was 18”.
7. Without a doubt, soft plastics were our best bait again this week. However, we did catch fish on Top Water and Hard Jerkbaits.
8. Friday was our Annual Fish Fry and we had a great time. Those of you who were
not able to attend missed Walleye, Halibut, Salmon, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs,
Sausage and Venison Steaks.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND LUV THE TUG………REB
