Steve Bissett from

When it comes to solid practical experience on the water, combined with tough, competitive, head-to-head tournament prowess, there are only a handful of names which come to mind. Steve Bissett is one of those guys and a valued member of the Pro Staff of Mr. Walleye Specialties, Inc. is recognized as America's premier promotional angling organization.
Back in 1974, Steve got his start in fishing as a guide on Green Lake in Spicer, MN. He has fished over 100 Team Walleye tournaments and has finished in the top ten in over 90% of them. Among his twelve team wins: '92 Mariner Spring Classic, '93 Wave Wacker Tourney, and the '04RCLSuperTourney. Steve fished in the Fisherman PWT Professional Walleye Trail from1990-1997, qualifying for seven Championships. Among his (10) top ten finishes are: 1st place at the '92 PWT Lake Erie Event with a record of 132.56 pounds of walleye caught; 2nd place at the '91 PWT Fort Peck (MT) tournament; 2nd place at the '94 PWT Lake of the Woods Championship; 3rd place at the '90 PWT MilleLacs tourney; 3rd place at the '96 PWT Lake of the Woods tournament. He also received the '95 Sportsman of the Year Award and was runner-up for the '96 PWT Top Gun Award. Steve was also elected to PWT Advisory Council six times by his fellow PWT ProAnglers.
This fifty four year-old pro fisherman is one of thirteen anglers on the Mr. Walleye Specialties Team.
